What remains astonishing is how ignorant many Europeans are of how their high living standards are reliant on the Russian energy and natural resources.
Given the direction that they have committed themselves to, Europe is going to come out of this as a much poorer set of nations, where energy is expensive, and the many jobs that manufacturing once provided are significantly lower. Food too will also be expensive.
The fall in living standards will probably drive major political change, but by then it will be way too late. At that point, it will become clear what the real causes of this war, that the West provoked Russia through NATO expansion, the goal of deploying nuclear weapons in Ukraine to create a second Cuban Missile Crisis, and to carry out a Maidan like regime change, with the ultimate goal of installing a puppet like Boris Yeltsin to loot, then ultimately Balkanize Russia.
The Russian economy proved far more resilient and sophisticated. The Russian military too proved far more power than NATO's and it is NATO, not the Russians, contrary to 2022-era propaganda, that is running low on munitions. Worse for NATO, they don't have the industrial base to match Russia.
Europe was already in economic trouble before this. China was making huge relative gains to the much vaunted German manufacturing for example, and Europe seemed unable to respond effectively. The loss of European manufacturing will be a major blow.
In the end, Europe is going to have to go back to Russia and beg for forgiveness.
What Russia does with 155mm artillery rounds (makes and fires 10x more than the West combined), China does with missiles: mass produces them on fully automated, 24x7 production lines at the rate of 1,000/day. A first salvo of 20,000 to take out all 122 US bases would sober everyone up real quick.
I think it is obvious that most of Europe is in an abject state of slavery with regard to the United States, probably going back to 1945 and the defeat and annihilation of the European superhero Adolf Hitler. The European weasels traded one set of masters for another and resigned themselves to their spiritual poverty. At least the Americans have their barbarism, their brutality, their ignorance, their
agricultural resources, and their movies to fall back on. Do Europeans think pizza is going to save them from the Russians?
